Thanks for stopping by.
My paintings try to make some space to take a deep breath and pause for a bit.
After a good amount of time watching paint dry, I'm still learning so much from this work.
Each canvas is a problem to solve and a story to tell. As a husband and father, my work engages an ongoing dialogue between family, the nature of work, doodling, being outside, prayer, accidents, miracles, singing, and old paintings.
Augustine once said, “I believe in order to understand.” That seems like a good way to start with my work.
